Campus News Update About BBC Panorama Report - Student Loan Scandal

We are extremely concerned by the practices exposed by BBC Panorama. Its programme shed light on the actions of two rogue agents who wrongly claimed to be agents used by and working with Grafton College. The programme also featured footage of malpractice by recruitment agents at two other colleges.

We are appalled by the actions and statements made by the agents during the BBC’s filming. Grafton College condemns fraud in all its forms and manifestations. The actions of these agents undermine our dedicated, passionate and hard-working staff and students. We have explained to the BBC that neither individual is authorised by Grafton College to operate as an agent, and we have no knowledge of any alleged fraudulent activities.

As soon as we were alerted to these allegations by the BBC, we launched a review into our admissions and assessment practices, and we will be working with our partners to identify any changes that may need to be made to our policies and procedures. We will take all appropriate action to ensure that our high standards are maintained.

The Head of Operations for Grafton College, who was wrongly accused by one of the agents has stepped down from his position at the College in order to facilitate independent investigation. 14/11/17
